The Astro Guy is Shane Ross a dedicated Astrophotographer, telescope & camera salesman, as well as an educational presenter.
Shane has been captivated by the stars since he was a young lad, remembering the first time he laid eyes on Saturn's Rings through a Tasco refractor and a Star hopper telescope.
Some years later was the beginning of a life long devotion to the night sky.
After more than twenty-five years of admiring celestial wonders he decided to take his passion and start presenting to schools, Rotary foundations and the general public.
Selling telescopes was never something he had intended on doing but after his own experiences when buying telescopes over the years he decided he could be of great assistance to others in the understanding of sometimes such complicated instruments.
As it would turn out, his passion for sales in something he loves doing himself has given him more satisfaction than ever before.
Being able to hear the stories of successful viewing of planets and seeing the beautiful colour shots people take of the night sky gives him immense satisfaction.
